Weekend Recap

it was a great one but it doesnt sound too hot when i put it into written words....oh well, here goes.  i have been sick since last week but friday past, i was determined to go out.  i organized an impromptu hen doo for a mate (see pic of the ladies with me looking fat to the left and one of us giving people going down a staircase a little show down below - and as a side, i AM putting myself on a diet...) as well as had a big bash my crazy neighbor was spinning at.  so i was out of the office around 4 to begin the surprise hen do activities - we did some girly stuff, ate, drank and were merry and then i went off to see my neighbor around 11.  after hours of dancing on chair at drop and going home around 4, i did nothing saturday (shocker).

yesterday was my "special day" - the day i came home to the states - which my family always celebrates like a birthday.  i have to admit, i almost forgot...i ended up celebrating by grocery shopping, cleaning my flat and going on a date.  yawn...

but i am probably  back in the northeastern seaboard mid july and i CANNOT wait!!!!!!

Back to Tokyo - Land of the Civilized

upon my second trip to tokyo, i fell even more in love with the city. it is difficult getting around without the language but i still managed to love it regardless. it was cherry blossom season and i have never seen a more beautiful sight before.

as you can tell, gorgeous. it was warm and sunny and people are so excited for the cherry blossoms. they come only once a year and for a very short time. there are parties in the parks and everyone is taking pictures from locals to tourists alike. it smelled just delicious as well. it was great luck that i was there during this time and i feel very fortunate as people try to plan it and it just was a lovely coincidence for me!
i had fun also because my mate, gregg, was there as well on holiday. and it is always better traveling with someone versus on your own. we had a couple of nice nights out. and i stayed with a journalist mate of mine as well in his flat over the weekend. it is so much easier being with someone who speaks japanese! one night i took a new client out for dinner and drinks to say thank you for his help and have a bit of fun. we ended up beyond drunk and at some lame "show" where the girls put on this pathetic excuse for a pussycat doll type show. was horrific but we were so drunk it was funny. needless to say, i paid for it a bit the next day.

so i am back to hong kong with people being rude and shoving you. tokyo almost seems like so long ago...
